About Pier

A square drawn tall. Four flat faces take the light one at a time and there is an edge at every corner, so a pot on the floor beside a chair carries the presence of furniture rather than of a container.

In a building the pier is the upright between two windows, and that is the job here: somewhere to stand a single architectural leaf. The shell comes in stacking rings, with short removable feet and a separate tray below its drainage holes.
