About Sill

A rectangle holds more soil for every centimetre of shelf it takes, and it puts that soil where a windowsill actually is — along the glass, in a line. The plant goes straight in, so the whole depth of the pot is root room and the corners are part of it.

The floor carries its own ring of drainage holes, the proportions run from half again as long as it is wide up to more than twice, and each one is a single print. Stand one under a window and it is a ledge of its own; stand three and the sill is planted end to end.
