Square Saucer 155

A low soft-square saucer for square cachepots, small herb pots and shallow display bowls. Its wall and floor stay plain, so the corners establish the shape and the colour remains the visible decision.

Make yours

Tell us the size and this gets drawn to it.

This one is made to order rather than configured on screen: length and width moves from 100 by 100 mm to 260 by 260 mm. Send a photo of the plant and the spot it has to live in, with the code PP-TS-155, and a size and a drawing come back the same day. 4 to 7 days from there.

What it suits

Suits

  • Square cachepots up to 145 mm across
  • Kitchen herbs
  • Small bonsai-style display pots
  • Tiled bathroom shelves

Not for

  • A pot that must stand above stored water
  • Long rectangular pots
  • Permanent outdoor use

Choose the smallest square that leaves at least 5 mm visible on every side.

Why it is that shape

A square cachepot on a round saucer always leaves four accidental crescents. This follows the pot instead, but rounds the corners enough to remain easy to wipe and quiet on a shelf.

Looking after it

Empty it after the pot has drained. Lift from opposite sides; a wide saucer full of water bends if it is carried from one edge.

A broad flat part carries colour strongly, so the palette is the ornament. Pigments fade under sustained sunlight.
